I have tried below:
Ubuntu
Fedora
LinuxMint
openSuse

Now I have below on my PC
LinuxMint 18.1 as Primary
Manjaro as secondary

I am loving LinuxMint. I would to improve my skills in automating tasks in Linux by Programming. Any pointers to them will be helpful for me.

Thanks in advance

Great. There is a host of information on the internet on Bash script programming for automating tasks, as well as using programming languages such as Python. Enjoy!

I too am running Linux Mint 18.1 (MATE desktop) and the only other distro that I have invested quite a lot of time in was Manjaro which I like for the more cutting-edge aspects. There is so much else out there however, and hopefully I will taste try a few more distros. MX looks nice for example. :-)

Hi Nagubhai and welcome to LQ!

I also like Linux Mint. I prefer Cinnamon Debian style.

As hydrurga says, there is tons of information related to BASH programming, here are some references:

Bash Guide for Beginners
Advanced BASH Scripting Guide
