The first task I would suggest is: Get to know your OS. Install new packages. Try to help someone fix their problem by researching and offering suggestions.
Which distro have you installed?

Ok, I have no any technical experience of any linux flavor but aware of them usually by reading materials, i have installed freebsd, and start to working on it.
