Wink Happy to join the Linux Community via Linuxquestions.org!

Hello everyone,

I've been tinkering with Linux since '97. Mainly with Red Hat and later Mandrake (Not a big fan of Mandriva at the moment though).

Currently, I'm using OpenSuse 11.0 and Fedora 9 and very much enjoying both. Except for the very frequent Browser crashes in Suse at the moment.

I'm also using Windows Vista Ultimate and will admit that I really like it and have no bad blood with Microsoft and am one of the few that actually endorse Mocrosoft and Novell's partnership. And yes, I know that's an unpopular opinion!

So I just wanted to say hello and will do my best to add to the knowledge here as much as possible! I'm very glad to be a part of this fine community.

All the best to everyone!
Brook

Hi and welcome to LQ, I do not think being honest with your opinions as long as you are not enciting a riot will get you black balled.

Smile Very true!

Very True! I hope I wouldn't start a riot, but I do understand the "touchyness" of mentioning the M$ and Novell relationship. I too was skeptical when they partnered (and still am in some regard). I guess time will tell. I'll remain optimistic though.

But just for the record, my heart is with LINUX while (like so many others) the bulk of my career is firmly with Microsoft. I'm hoping to diversify that by joining this community. That's why I'm here..to learn and contribute

Thanks for the reply!
