Welcome Karthik!

I'm sorry not to be able to help you on this one, but before anyone can help you they'll need to know a little more about your system setup.

First thing that's important is which distro you are using (Fedora, Slackware, ...)

Do I understand correctly that you want to set up your box (pc) as a web server, or what exactly do you want to do (try to break it down into small steps!)

If you are using fedora I have a couple of suggestions for you:

1) Have a look at the threads in the Distributions > Fedora forum.

2) There's also an excellent forum dedicated exclusively to Fedora: fedoraforum.org

3) During install you can select the necessary packages for a server setup. Alternatively you can also do so after instalation from the Desktop > System Settings > And/Remove Applications entry. In both cases you'll see the same menu and under Servers, an entry for Web Servers.

4) Another great resources: The Stanton-Finley Installation Notes The link will take you to the webserver section, but also have a look at the rest, as the explanations are progressive and you may need to do some other things before being able to follow a particular item.
