Hi all,
I am glad finally to be joining LinuxQuestions.org, and I am excited to be part of this community! Some facts about me:
I am a longtime user of desktop GNU/Linux. I got my start (as many have also done) first with Debian, and then Ubuntu, back in about 2004 or so.
I have experimented with many distros since then (too many to name), and now have settled on Linux Mint as my daily driver.
After years of getting by with dual-booting alongside Windows, or booting into Linux from external drives, I now have installed Linux Mint natively on my Lenovo laptop, with Mate, Cinnamon and xfce as my desktop environments.
I am very happy finally to be able to immerse fully in Linux (corporate employment requirements previously made Windows a necessity).
So, I look forward to interacting with the community, learning from the experience of others, and helping to answer questions when I can.
@pan64, thanks for pointing out the duplicate post. Error on my part; I couldn't see if the first one had posted OK. I'll avoid this mistake in future.
