Greetings from germany

Hi,
just a quick "Tach" (short for "good day") from germany.
I'm a seasoned linux admin, helped out on linux-gazette ages ago and got lured to help out on lq by an email reminder ;-)

Cheers
Upuetz

I'd like to resurrect my former Deutsch, however LQ wishes us to keep English in the posts.

Well, it's 1/2 my heritage, albeit not an active one, I was born in the US and grew up, but did study German in school.

Good day to you and welcome!

Hi...

It's a good percentage of mine, too. Unfortunately, my attempts at learning German did not go well.

Regards...

Since english has established itself as a lingua franca around the world let's stick to that - then all our help is "consumable" by every interested party.

I practise my english by watching tv series in english - you *could* do the same with german in order to improve/learn that ;-)

Best regards,
Udo

Hi Udo...

Thanks but if I were to attempt it again, I think I would do better learning one on one or in a slow paced classroom setting.

Regards...
