Greetings from a newb

Hi everyone, I've been poking around here for a little while, found alot of answers here, thought I'd finally sign up. I'm just a little science nerd who is finally going to convert to linux.

I've had my mom using mandrake for some time just for her e-mail, she sells on ebay and I was tired of her getting a virus every other week (well not really ) I set up one of my machines, I am just taking baby steps, I still fear the terminal a little bit My gaming machine is still running the OS I dare not type, for now at least. Cedega got my interested in switching completly to linux. I don't exactly like m$ and I love the open source community and the price is right too

Also, I apologize in advance for my horrible typing right now as well, I have recently switched to dvorak, I might even get one of those nice typematrix boards too. Oh, and I apologize for just being a noob in general.
