Talking greetings and salutations


Hello All,
I'm a middle aged latecomer to the pc world. Bought my first box in 2001. Sony Vaio laptop with windows xp home. I've grown accustomed to its way of doing things. Before that I'd only looked over shoulders except for a couple of years of college in the mid 80s. Anyone remember Fortran 77 or punch cards? Anyway, for fun I've aquired some pc's at yard sales to play with and want to learn my way around linux.

I'm trying vector out on my desktop toy. Just tried a SAM live cd. thrilled with both so far. SAM seems a little easier. Planning on window shopping. Hmm. Should we call it window shopping?
