Long time Windows user here. I'll be dual-booting Windows 7 and Slackware 64 on my Lenovo X140e Thinkpad.
I chose Slackware as my distro because I love the philosophy behind it. Straight up skipped Ubuntu! I've managed to install it and got my wifi working after compiling the drivers. Now to get other stuff up and running like the sound.
Anyway, I'll be around. Probably idling on Freenode ##slackware IRC occasionally.
Actually, you do see brand new users going to Slackware. That's what I did, and I'm aware of quite a few people who have done the same. It's actually one of the better entry points, imho.
Welcome aboard, RyzaJr. Let us know if you have questions!
