Great to finally register as member
Always got LQ come up in search engines whenever I have a Linux question, and now, finally, got the courage to register as member. I'm a long-tine Linux user (since ca. 1998-1999) but still a newbie, even when it comes to installation. Why? Well, because Linux systems, once installed, stay stable for years and years. The last time I got Slackware up and running on a laptop was 5 years ago. Now I'm trying to install Slackware on a desktop and it's like being a newbie all over again!
