getting back to Linux

Pishta from So. Cal, USA...Im tired of seeing the "Activate Windows" so Im going back to Linux. last distro I used was Mint 13 (still had .iso in my download folder!) and prior to that I used Puppy until it went under and there was no more support. I used Puppy because that was the only distro that could manage sound to work with the wonky Intel sound chip the Toshiba laptop as well as an old Dell used. Now Im using a slightly more modern Dell (still 10 years old) Studio 1737 and so far, everything is working except bluetooth, and its a lot slower as I'm back to a 5400rpm HDD instead of the Windows 120GB SSD> I ran Puppy off a live CD with no HDD in a gutted desktop I found in my trash at work. internet access and all!
