G'day from Australia
I thought I'd do my part as a new member and post ANOTHER hello thread. :)
Hi everybody. I'm 25, from Melbourne Australia and my taste for Linux knowledge grows daily. I started with Mandrake or Knoppix over a year ago, lost interest because I couldn't be bothered learning and eventually went back to Windows. I bit the bullet a month ago and replaced Windows with Ubuntu Linux. I haven't looked back since. Since then, I've installed a number of different distros(even if just for a day or so). I can't recall them all but I've had a go at DSL(on my laptop), K/X/Ubuntu(on my laptop and PC), Kanotix(on my PC), PCLinuxOS(on my laptop and PC) and Debian(tried on my laptop but couldn't get X to work). I've finally settled with Ubuntu Linux on my PC and the laptop is being used as a test subject. I'm currently studying IT Multimedia with a keen interest in Web Programming(still an absolute novice). In my spare time, I've been teaching myself Python and hope to move onto Java, C++, C or even Perl at one point or another. I hope to learn alot here and I'll pitch in to help whenever I can. |
Hi and welcome to LQ :D

Hello, and thank you for the welcome. :)
A quick update from my original post. I've removed and replaced Ubuntu with Kanotix. Very nice distro. I might stay with it for a while. |
