forum won't let me post a URL
I guess I need to make a post here before the system will let me make a post that contains a URL. So here's my post! :-) Now maybe I can go back and try again with some success...

I think the whole point was to make a post asking for help or helping. Not to post uselessly. haha :P

Hi and Welcome to LQ! The point is to prevent robotic spammers to post links to their own commercial sites. If a real person sits down behind a terminal, he/she is able to post here for the first time. If a robot stays inside a terminal it should not be able to post here so that it cannot spam its URL! He he he!

Don't know. Never tried it. Why worry, anyway? It is for the first post only: once you have a post count greater than or equal to one, you can post all the URLs you want (free in the text, embedded in tags, colorized, and so on...)!
