forum won't let me post a URL
I guess I need to make a post here before the system will let me make a post that contains a URL. So here's my post! :-) Now maybe I can go back and try again with some success...

Hi and Welcome to LQ! The point is to prevent robotic spammers to post links to their own commercial sites. If a real person sits down behind a terminal, he/she is able to post here for the first time. If a robot stays inside a terminal it should not be able to post here so that it cannot spam its URL! He he he!  |

Don't know. Never tried it. Why worry, anyway? It is for the first post only: once you have a post count greater than or equal to one, you can post all the URLs you want (free in the text, embedded in tags, colorized, and so on...)! |
