Errors on kali Linux

Hi from Zambia I am using kali Linux, what’s happening is that when I switch on my machine it will stay on for like 5minutes then I just see small colored boxes appear on the screen and the laptop freezes. Sometimes even a blipping sound comes on. Please advise can it be a virus and how can I clear this error

Kali is meant to be run from a virtual machine, are you doing that or is it installed on the hard drive?
