I've sold a customer a LAMP website at an extremely low price and I'm pulling hardware out of retirement to meet the requriements.
I'm using a 2002 era Dell PowerEdge 300SC server with a 800 Mhz Pentium III with 1Gb RAM.
I've installed Fedora 13 and the latest Apache web server 2.2.something.
Now the web server is running but I can't access the web server from other computers of the LAN
For example, the server IP address is 10.0.2.106 and, on the server, I can browse to
http://10.0.2.106 and get the Welcome to Fedora page. I added a page to /var/www/html and named it default.htm and I can browse to
http://10.0.2.106/default.htm and see that page. Obviously the Fedora and Apache components are working.
When I go to another computer on the LAN (all Windows) I can ping 10.0.2.106 and all is good. However if I browse to
http://10.0.2.106 or
http://10.0.2.106/default.htm I get can not connect\connection times out.
Second issue, I wanted to remote cotrol the server so I installed tightvnc.com client on my Win7 laptop but can't figure out how to intstall the TightVNC server on the Fedora machine.
All help is appreciated.
