Been there, done that and now I'm doing this.
I've been computing since Commodore 64 days, through DOS, DR DOS, Windoze 3 through 8 and now I'm into Ubuntu. I've done a bit of programming, even learned to program in batch for DOS so I'm no stranger to the "magic box" but there's a learning curve and I'm at the bottom of it.
In the hopes of not making a pest of myself around here I'll be looking for a primer course on making this new stuff work. So far I've got my Sony Vaio weened from Windoze 8.1, got my self set up as admin and the wife quarenteed into her own section. Chrome is working and I hope to get some other goodies going soon.
Anyhow, thanks for the welcome and TIA for any assistance y'all can give.
