After 5 years procrastination, finally Fedora 18 on a DELL INSPIRON 1520
 

Five years ago I bought a Dell INSPIRON 1520 by duplicating the then current linux certified configuration, but getting the Windoze XP OS.

I just looked through my collection of Fedora versions that started with V 8.

But I still have lots of questions. Oh, if it matters, I'm 64 y.o., started on M$ DOS at work in the early Eighties. A co-worker hacked out of a .MIL/.GOV mainframe to the WWW.

I live on a rural isolated Island in Lake Michigan, so there's no running off to the computer shop for help. The nearest town is Sturgeon Bay that is a ferry ride and fifty miles away. We've a couple of kidz that think they can make a living from computers, but when I ask the best question I can I get fisheyes.

I was tickled to see the "You last visited 02-02-08", but here I am.

I was going to wait 5 years to reply but I'd forget about it by then. :)
