Cool Adding Linux to my long list of systems

My real name is Micah and I'm soon to be a CS student again (this time for undergrad degree). I've had RedHat 8 on my computer for a while, and I finally decided to start to use it as my primary OS. So far I can surf the web and check email. Soon (hopefully) I'll be back to digital recording, Midi composition, 2D and 3D graphics, and programming, among other things. I still have a few things to learn and a few questions to ask about Linux before I start going hog wild installing software.

My first computer was a TI99/4A, then a C64, an XT, turbo XT and various DOS/Win systems ever since. I've even used a WANG and some old Unix boxes at tech. college. I became familiar with Unix commands and scripting at my job where we ran MKS on WinNT 4 (and later Win2K).

Anyhow, look forward to a mix of newbie and technical questions from me (hopefull not many of the former though ) and, as I learn, some answers too.

Micah
