A (Very late) Introduction

Hi.

I've been on this forum for almost a year now, so I thought I should probably do the intro thing.

I've been running Linux for just over three years, and have enjoyed every minute of it. I originally installed Linux in order to learn about the systems I was using in University for my CS degree (we used Linux as a platform for coding in Java, RCS, shell scripting, latex etc. in our final two years) and I've been hooked ever since.

I originally found LinuxQuestions when searching Google about the problems I had after installing RedHat 7.2 (them were the days) - I had some weird and wonderful hardware then - and was intruiged by the friendlyness and altruism on the forums here; something I'd rarely seen on forums before.

I've only asked three or four questions personally on LinuxQuestions, but the answers I've received have always had the air of enthusiasm and patience I've come to enjoy from the hours I've spent on this forum. (A lot of that has to do with the Mods and the gurus/addicts here - top work people.) I really hope I come across in the same way, and have been helpful to those I've posted answers for so far.

Cheers people.

Dave

I don't think the standard "Welcome to LQ " fits in this case.

Nice to see that you've retained the enthusiasm for the site, though.

Cool.
