a debian newbie signs on

hello all:

just re-did my old server to run debian 6.0.6 and do i have questions. so far i am impressed with the stability but it is different from Mint or Ubuntu. The only other distro i've played with is red hat and i think it was around version 6.

anyway everyone have a good evening/night/morning/day and thanks for being here.
