A beautiful new adventure

I just recently accepted a position as IT Technician with a small business. At the time of accepting this position they had an off site IT dept that handled all servers and my job was to insure the network integrity and handle all PC repairs and software updates. Since that time (3 months ago), management has decided they can save more money by bringing home the items they have sourced out. Now they want to update and I have been given the task of making this happen with a very low budget. I believe in this business, one of the reasons I accepted the position, and knowing I would have to grow intellectually to sustain my position I took added measures to get this knowledge. But, working with a windows environment for years and wanting to go the extra mile and effort they do not want to spend the money for MS products and have decided to implement a windows and Linux environment. I am definitely a newbie and have wanted to work with Linux for some time. Now the opportunity has given birth and the management team has agreed that Linux servers are the way to go in handling our network this will be a most beautiful adventure as they are now requesting special software be devised. Thank you Linux family for accepting newbies as myself. I pray I will be able to provide back to the community as much as I have read and gained from the community already.

God Bless, Let the adventure to excellence begin!!!
