Can anyone devolge some information as to wtf that message means...i've searched everywhere and i'm not a network guru ( i've deduced it's an 802.11 authentication error....hrmm go figure...lol )

sarcasm aside:

what the F*** does that mean ??

the only google search that came up was source code with that as an error message.

i'm using slack 10 with a netgear wirelress card natively supported (kernel 2.6.9) xsupplicant looks configured properly and the certificate is in pem format..... iwconfig shows a 26 character key (that i gave it....xsupp is supposed to change it....i tried it without the key also....i've tried everying )

it will just sit there all day and display that error message....i feel like i'm almost there.

then it says authenticated after like 15 minutes...

then bam dhclient fucks up and then :

Code:

Processing EAPol-key!
HMAC failed on key data! This key will be discarded!

then it does it again....and then nothing.....i haven't had the patience to watch it go for more than 20 minutes.
5 bucks this has somethign to do with the college using smart enforcer for windows clients.

anywho anyone that has a clue to what that message even means please repond, i'll love you for ever. and if anyone has insight as to what the actual issue may be....damn i love you too.
