WRT54G ver 2 router and Orinoco gold 802.11b

Hi all -

First, let me say that I am a self-admitted neophyte (borderline newbie) in Linux, have mostly used Redhat 8, then installed 9, and have now installed FC2 on my work laptop. Everything went beautifully with the install, but, and I think i'm not alone on this from the posts I have read in here, my wireless card just doesn't seem to want to give it a go.

This message pertains to FC2.

Output of ifconfig:

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0F:1F:A1:E1:8C
inet addr: Bcast: Mask:
inet6 addr: fe80::20f:1fff:fea1:e18c/64 Scope:Link
RX packets:24 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:29 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:3718 (3.6 Kb) TX bytes:2935 (2.8 Kb)

eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:02:2D:93:69:41
inet6 addr: fe80::202:2dff:fe93:6941/64 Scope:Link
RX packets:1 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:10 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:248 (248.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)
Interrupt:3 Base address:0x100

Output of iwconfig:

eth1 IEEE 802.11-DS ESSID:"robsworld19732" Nickname:"localhost.localdomain"
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.462GHz Access Point: 00:0F:66:0B:0AA
Bit Rate=11Mb/s Tx-Power=15 dBm Sensitivity:1/3
Retry limit:4 RTS thrff Fragment thrff
Encryption keyff
Power Managementff
Link Quality:43/92 Signal level:-50 dBm Noise level:-93 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0

Output of route -n:

Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface U 0 0 0 eth0 U 0 0 0 eth0 UG 0 0 0 eth0

FC2 recognizes the card, as I can set all the parameter through iwconfig, and can also add the card via the gui utility, so I am honestly not sure where to go from this point.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Please let me know what additional information I can give you all to further assist us all.

'dhcpcd -k' (kill any running dhcpcd's'
'dhcpcd -d eth1' 'gets ip or eth1 with more output'
and post the output
