WPC11 ver 4 card - did anyone get it to work?
i was just curious if anyone got the wpc11 ver 4 card to work? if they did what distro? what method (ndiswrapper, or the realtex drivers)? what kernel? I have slackware 9.1 with a 2.2.24 kernel, and i wanted to set it up. before i get any further, i want to know if i should upgrade kernel, or switch distro. I read alot about this card, but no one was clear if they got it to work or not. thank for the help.

Here's my iwcofig:
Code:
lo no wireless extensions.
eth0 no wireless extensions.
sit0 no wireless extensions.
wlan0 IEEE 802.11b ESSID:"linksys" Nickname:"linux"
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.437GHz Access Point: 00:00:00:00:00:00
Bit Rate=11Mb/s Tx-Power:20 dBm Sensitivity=0/3
RTS thr=2432 B Fragment thr=2432 B
Encryption key:off
Power Management:off
Link Quality:100/100 Signal level:-59 dBm Noise level:-256 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0
Keep in mind that I am not using WEP, so I don't know how it works with it. I have MAC address restriction on my router because I was having problems with getting the Mac iBook and airport extreme card working with WEP, so just got rid of it.
