WPA Supplicant problem...
I'm running Mandriva 2006 on a Dell C640 laptop with an Atheros ar5212 PCMCIA WiFi card (Wireless G). I can connect to non-encrypted networks, but am having problems connecting to my own wireless router using WPA protection...
I'm using the ndiswrapper drivers rather than the madwifi drivers for the card... I know the router works, because my Palm LifeDrive connects just fine, as do friends who bring their MAC OSX laptops, etc... I installed the latest wpa_supplicant for Mandriva from the mirrors, but no good.. What would be the proper command line to cause the laptop to connect??? |
Switched the router (and laptop setup) to WEP and I still have problems connecting...
Apparently whenever I am using encryption... it is not working correctly... Anyone have a starting point for dealing with this problem? |
Still having the problem,...
The machine works fine with unencrypted networks (like the one at my girlfriend's house that I am using right now). But still, WEP or more importantly, WPA encryption just yields no result. I'm using Mandriva 2006. Any suggestions... |
