WMP54G NdisWrapper Driver Loading Problems

I've just spent all afternoon trying to configure ndiswrapper for my Linksys WMP54G PCI card with Broadcom BCM4306 chipset, following the instructions @ http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/p...p/Installation. From the instructions, all seems to go well - 'modprobe ndiswrapper' returns nothing, 'ndiswrapper -l' displays 'bcmw15 driver present, hardware present'. But when I type 'iwconfig wlan0' I get 'wlan0 No such device'. I typed 'dmesg' and part of it says this:

ndiswrapper version 1.1 loaded (preempt=no,smp=no)
ndiswrapper (check_nt_hdr:145): Windows driver is not 64-bit; bad magic: 010B
ndiswrapper (load_sys_files:456): unable to prepare driver 'bcmwl5'

I'm using the bcmwl5.inf driver from the CD that I got with it.

The card is active - the LED is lit up.

I'm on Fedora Core 3.

Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance - Dan

I've just been looking around and from what I can tell, there is no 64bit support for ndiswrapper?
I'm having a look at linuxant now.

:) I managed to get my card working. I used ndiswrapper and the 64bit drivers from linuxant. I followed the instructions on the ndiswrapper website (see first post for link). To get it to work I opened the system-config-network dialog box (accessible through Applications->System Tools->Network in the GUI menu). I then created a new device for wlan0 and it worked with all of the commands in the shell :).

It connects to my network fine - it's just my system slows down considerably with my connection enabled :(. Does anyone know why?

P.S. Sorry or the triple post!
