wlan help in fedora core 4

ive installed and got my pcmcia card working with ndiswrapper. When i try to connect to my wireless lan i get this message:

Error: unrecognized wireless request "Mb/s"
Error: for wireless reuqest "Set Encode" (8B2A):
SET failed on device wlan0; invalid argument.

Determining IP Information for wlan0...failed; no link present. Check cable?

I can scan for networks, and when i do i see mine but cant connect. I have wep enabled and have already put my key into the settings. My wireless card is the linksys WPC54g v1.2.

Any help would really be appreicated.
Thanks
Mike

If you disable the wep can you conect to the wireless lan? If you can than there must be an error in your network script configuration file! Try disabeling the wep and maybe i can help (i have some experience)

Show me your /etc/sysconfig/wlan(config file) for the interface you are using
