Wireless usb network card rt5370

Hi People, (Help!)

Debian squeeze on a raspberry pi.

I am trying to get a wireless usb stick working.
This is the 3rd one I am trying still no luck.
Doing a lsusb I get ralink RT5370.

I install the firmware-ralink with command
sudo apt-get install firmware-ralink

but when I do lsmod

I am not getting rs2870sta that the wiki says it
needs I should be using.

What am I missing/doing wrong?

I've tried compiling the drivers for the usb stick
but just getting
Invalid modules format when I do modprobe rt5370sta

Anyone give me an idiots guide to getting a rt5370 wireless stick working.

This post helped me get the RT5370 working.

Basically you have to get the firmware-ralink from Wheezy instead of Squeeze.

I never saw rt2870sta with modprobe but now I have 2 behaviors.

1) Without powered hub, I can see the wireless networks but I can't connect. Unable to obtain IP address.

2) With powered hub, I can connect. It is not 100%, have to retry sometimes.

If you find rs2870sta or rt2870Ssta please let me know where it is.
