Wireless Router vs Wireless Access Point

I currently have two computers (Slack 9.1 on one, Mandrake 10 on the other) that are networked together with a Billion ADSL router. They share files and printers, as well as our broadband internet connection as I require.

I intend to buy 2 Apple iBook laptops, both of which are equiped with and AirPort Extreme card (802.11g standard). I would like to network these two computers wirelessly to my two desktops, so they can share the printers and access files, etc.

Do I need to buy a Wireless Router (Such as a DLink DI-624) or a Wireless Access Point (Such as a DLink DWL-2000AP, which is slighly cheaper)?

Thanks in advance

Can't see why you'd need another router - the AP should be sufficient.
In case you're interested in such, I run a wireless router plus a 900AP+ as a repeater - so I can hit the net whilst enjoying a beer out at the BBQ.
If at some time you need to extend the reach of your wireless network, and you see a 900AP+ going cheap, grab it.
DLink say repeating only works in very limited scenarios, but it can be made to work with other of their gear.
And in Aus, it's the *only* repeater option any normal person can afford
