According to one of Epsons manuals the projector device has two connection modes. In Quick Connection Mode, basically the mode that requires on configuraton at all, the device "temporarily assigns the projector's SSID to a computer creating an ad hoc connection". So you first have to find out what mode the projector is in (see wireless-tools package tools like iwscan, iwlist and such) and establish a connection. Running an application in WINE clicking some OK button in the hope this will solve any and all problems in the OS beneath means you might have the wrong idea about using Linux.
