wireless on thinkpad x31

hello,

i am a COMPLETE newbie to linux. i have just installed debian on my thinkpad x31 (2672).

can somebody please help with getting my wireless working? i dont think the wireless card is recognised.

and please make the response as simple as possible.

I'm afraid I can't give you any detailed information but a good resource for thinkpads is

I used it a lot when I started running linux on my X41. There you'll find a page dedicated to the X31:

There seems to be a few possible wifi-cards for the X31 so it would be good to find out which one you have. Some of them require additional drivers, such as madwifi
