i am a grad student. and i want to connect to wireless network of my univ.
i am using debian sarge on kernel 2.4.27. how do i setup wireless on this
machine
I would do something like this on my redhat
iwconfig eth0 essid "SSID of the wireless"
ifconfig etho 192.168.3.7 up ( For static IP)
or
pump -i eth0 > /dev/null (For DHCP)
route add default 192.168.3.1
make sure u edit /etc/resolv.conf for correct DNS entries
it should work fine..
