Wireless on Fujitsu Amilo L1310

Hi!

I have installed Mandriva 2006 on my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo L1310 and the last thing to fix is to make the wireless network card to be avaible. The thing is that the computer has an enable/disable button (some times denoted launch key). In some forums they refers to "echo 1 >> /proc/drivers/wireless/radio" (or something) to start up the wlan, but I do not have this device.

Anyway I tried to install the acerhk.ko module (after make and make install) but it raplays

% modprobe acerhk
% cannot allocate memory

Any idea?

Welcome to LQ!

From what I've seen around here, the Amilo laptops are a royal pain for Linux and wireless. I'd strongly suggest doing some searching here as I know there are a few threads about that laptop and wireless.

As for your modprobe problem, are you root when you run the modprobe command?
