Wireless Not Working (dell truemobile 1150)

I've installed slackware 10.0 on my Dell c400 which came with a truemobile 1150 mini wireless B card. However I can't get it work with wireless networks.

For somereason, it is detected as eth0 for the wireless card instead of wlan0.
When i do ifconfig eth0 up or ifconfig eth0 down, it turns it off and on.

if i do "iwconfig eth0 essid any", it doesn't connect to any network.

If I do "iwconfig eth0 essid network_name", it shows the network for the essid, but doesn't connect to it as my acess point is always 44:44:44:44:44:44.

I also tried ndiswrapper, but ndiswrapper says "hardware not present" after i try to install the windows xp driver.

I also tried using kwifimanager to try to set it up, it still wouldn't give me anything.

Any ideas? Thanks.
