wireless extensions

Anybody knows why the output of iwconfig is like this:
eth1: No wireless extensions
My eth1 is cisco air-pci350 series client adapter. I'm running linux redhat 9.0. Is it because of that the driver airo.o provided by cisco website does not support wireless extensions? If it is so, is there an patch to solve it?

One thing is sure, the error message says that eth0 is not seen as a wireless device.

Oh, I'm not such a dumb guy. eth1 is a wireless interface.

@legolas : you know that physically eth1 is a wireless device. However, Linux sees that the iwconfig commands do not apply to this device, which means that probably the wifi extensions for that device are not loaded.
What do you see in /var/log/syslog about eth0 ? what does "usbview" show ?
You know, my goal is not to see if you are dumb or not, our goal here is to see how we can make a Linux diagnostic in order to help you.
