Windows XP - Linux wireless network
 

Hi everyone

I'm trying to set an ad-hoc network between a Win Xp box and a Linux laptop. The PCMCIA card is (finally) being recognised by Linux and seemingly workin fine, but the computers won't see each other.

I have made sure that the ESSID, the channel and the mode (ad-hoc) is the same in both, and I have tried both using dhcp and static IP addressing. No way.

Any ideas? The laptop is using RH9, and I have tried Windows wireless configuration tool and the specific program for the pci card (which, by the way, is a conceptronic C54).
