WIFI wont work

I have a Microsoft 802.11b usb adapter and am running Knoppix Linux (on my HD). When I am in Knoppix I can not browse the internet, I suspect that Linux is not recognizing my adapter. When I was running it off of the cd it recognized it but I could not browse the Internet. Can anyone tell me how to get it to work?
Thanks,
Todd

check your /etc/modules

and hope that the device has one.

Otherwise you gotta hit up the maker for some linux drivers that match your kernel version.

I have USB UBCI and Prism2 USB. I think Prism2 USB is my adapter.
