Wifi Say's it's connected but still no connection


Hey,

I am extreamly n00bie to linux so please forgive me if i ask some stupid questions.

ok, so i brought a crappy 10er wireless card offa ebay, im running Slackware 12.0. when on my desktop my kWiFimanager say's im connected, yet when i go onto anything interweb related i still get no connection..

anyone have any ideas on what this could be?

Check your ip settings. Do you see an ip address in the kWifimanager? Is the address correct? Have you set the correct gateway in your wireless router. Startup the netapplet and check the gateway is correct.
