Wifi Broadcom 4312 not working in Ubuntu after installing another system
Hello Everyone,
I have following problem: I have Broadcom 4312 wifi card and I installed Ubuntu 11.04 some time ago. After that I installed wifi STA driver via System > Administration > Aditional drivers. Everything was working fine. Yesterday I installed Fedora 15 on another disk partition. I spent the whole day making the wifi work in fedora and I finally solved it by b43-fwcutter etc. Today, I turned on Ubuntu and figured out that wireless is not working! I reinstalled the aditional drivers, reinstalled bcmwl-kernel-source, rebooted several times etc. But I still cant make the wireless working in ubuntu again. Could anyone please give me any clues about my problem? Thank you in advance |
Did you change the security settings in your wi-fi router perhaps? I can't think of any other reason why what you do in Fedora will affect what happens in Ubuntu.

Problem solved
I am sorry for bothering, but a few hours after that I turned the pc on and everything worked normally again. I dont understand how, but it works and I hope it will.

Sometimes it's the network/ISP that's the problem! It's worse when using a mobile network because you never know where the fault is! |
