Question WEP Encryption in RedHat 9 with DLINK 520+

i'm new to linux and am looking for some help. i installed redhat 9.0 on my box. i have a dlink 520+ wireless card to connect to a wireless home network that utilizes 256 bit WEP encryption. for home network we use static IP, connect to the wireless router, and then out to DSL. i've installed the binary drivers that have been developed for my card and made some changes to various files (as instructed with the drivers) in the /etc folder to set up eth1 as well as IP info and host files. my question is what changes do i need to make (and to what files) in order to enable WEP in redhat 9.0 and specify my encryption key? any help you can give is greatly appreciated.
