We have moved computers and now I can’t connect.
My wife has the Cisco Linksys wireless adapter in her office and she connects to it with her Apple.
My daughter has a Windoze box in the front room. When I insert a WLAN wireless adapter into my daughters machine, her Wireless Network Connection shows full power connection on a network named indigo.
I am running Fedora 11 on my box in the back room. When I inset an Alvarion Breezenet into the PCMCIA/PCI adapter and boot the machine I open Network Configuration. Fedora recognizes the Alvarion Ltd. Breezenet adapter as eth1. But Network Connections still shows no wireless networks available.
When I remove the Alvarion Breezenet from the PCMCIA/PCI adapter, insert the wireless adapter from my daughter’s machine into a USB port on my box, and boot the machine I open Network Configuration. Fedora recognizes the Realtek Semiconductor Wireless Adapter as wlan0. But Network Connections still shows no wireless networks available.
What must I do to establish a link to the Cisco router?
I hope that it is something easy like being sure that Network Connections is addressing the correct device.
Any advice is appreciated.

Try placing the machine next to the Cisco router and see if that works. If it does then the room where you want to have your machine located is not suitable relative to the placement of the router.
