Unhappy Urgent help needed - Wireless card not recognized during boot

Hi,

I installed my wireless card when my RH kernel version was 2.4.18-19.8.0. I spent lot of time and efforts to make it work. Finally it worked. Subsequently I installed few more kernels and my current kernel is 2.4.18-27.8.0. If I boot my system (via GRUB) with any kernel that is not 19.8.0, the wireless card is not recognized.

I compared the modules.dep file between these two kernels, I could see that some of the .o files are not loaded. I copied these lines and added it into the latest kernel's module.dep. Also I copied all the .o files to the appropriate directory. When I rebooted my system, it says "unresolved symbols in module.dep". Still the card is not recognized.

How to enable the card in the new kernel?
I am running RH 8.0 on a Dell Inspiron 3500 laptop with a dual boot using Grub and running W2k on the windows.

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Thanks

Mahesh

I share youre feelings kmahesh! Got kind of the same problem here... I only found something about different kernel settings...
(Or other versions of mod_utils, gcc, whatever... A lot of variables here...)

So I also seek the solution... It worked fine, untill yesterday....
