Unload wireless module (orinoco_cs)?

Hello, I'm a newbie here.

I'm trying to set up a Linksys WPC11 ver 3 PC card. I know what to do to install wlan-ng, but how do I get rid of orinoco_cs first?

I read on this forum to use 'rmmod orinoco_cs'. That didn't help.

I'm running Slackware 9.0 (fresh install) on a Toshiba Protege 300CT.

Thanks in advance,
Jason

what does "lsmod" return? (is orinoco_cs in the list?)

what happens to that listing after "modprobe -r orinoco_cs"?

after inserting the WPC11, what does "cardctl ident" return?

you'll need to edit the /etc/pcmcia/config so that the id's
from the ident above are set to bind with prism2_cs.

then a restart of the pcmcia should get you going.
(wireless networking is not for the faint of heart) :-)
