Unable to connect to proxy server though wi fi connection active proxy settings ok

Hi
I am absolutely new to linux but decide to stick with it.Loaded Fedora 14 inmy notebook and am able to do all work as of now except connecting to the net through wireless network.
I installed wireless card driver through ndiswrapper and the card is working .I am able connect through mobile broadband. But when I connect to the wireless network at our company (it is company provided) it gets connected and shows the connection as connected. But on trying to browse, browser reports proxy server refuses to connect.
Checked with our edp man who confirms my proxy server settings are ok.But he was asking how to put my ip address in the system
i have been going though the net all the while but similar questions were missing.
Thanks and hope for a solution

The IP from your computer in the proxy settings from the company?

Kind regards

Many thanks for the reply.
I amnot famailiar enough even to search how to reply your mail. Hence the delay.
Hope thisreaches you.
I had used ndiswrapper for loading windows driver for rtl 8187se.
It reportsthat the driver is installed but the iwconfig command gives the output as follows

IEEE 802.11g ESSIDff/any
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.457 GHz Access Point: Not-Associated
Bit Rate:54 Mb/s Tx-Power:20 dBm Sensitivity=0/3
RTS thrff Fragment thrff
Power Managementff
Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0
Ihad tried the security key encryption command and got it once.
I am not able to understand how even after running network manger essid is reported as off .
I will keep on trying and report to you .
It would be extremely nice to help me gt it solved
Thanks and regards.

Seems to me your edp man needs the mac address, in order to whitelist your laptop.
You can find your mac address by using the command
Code:
ifconfig
as root

Because you are not connected to the wireless accesspoint.

Kind regards
