Unhappy Unable to access internal LAN from outside Belkin wireless router

I have set up port forwarding on my Belkin router with regard to ssh (port 22), Web Server (port 80). My Web server is on 192.168.2.24
and the router has a dynamic IP username.dynu.com allocated by dynu.com. I can access my Web server internally using http://192.168.2.24 from all the computers on my internal LAN, but trying http://username.dynu.com fails, from computers both inside and outside my internal LAN. I cannot seem to get past the router from the outside. I have Fedora Core 8 with kernel 2.6.23.14-107.fc8 installed. I have followed the advice that I seen on the Web but have made no headway. Is there anyone who can offer assistance, please?

How long ago was the IP updated for your dynamic dns service? Maybe it hasn't reached your dns servers yet. Can you access your server using your router's external ip?

The IP address has been updated for some time and has remained fixed since I have not disconnected my modem.
For your second question, the answer is NO. I can ping the IP of the router, but I cannot get past it to the internal network. If I try telnet username.dynu.com I get as far as the router, and no further.

Ted

The ip can change even if the modem has not been unplugged. It is pretty tough to tell one router from another over telnet. Just an easy thing to double check.
