Trouble detecting mini-pci card: UPDATE

Ok, so I heard its not too easy to get wireless with Linux. I've searched through some threads and have gotten this far.

I downloaded and untar'ed ndiswrapper.
i then installed it (make install)
i then copied the inf file from windows into the linux partition.
i ran "ndiswrapper -i bcmwl5.inf"
i then tried to type "modprobe ndiswrapper"
This gave me an error "Can't locate module ndiswrapper"

From this point i'm stuck, since i can 't probe still.

I tried ndiswrapper -l and got this
"Installed ndis drivers:
bcmwl5 driver present
hardware present"

Any help? Thanks

bump

Ok, so i apparently lied earlier. First of all, i downloaded the debian package rather then the normal one. I got version 1.2 from sourceforge and untared it to the /home folder. I then went in the konsole and cd'ed to it and did make install. Although i hope this would fix it, it didn't work. A bunch of code ran down the screen and at the end was this:

ntoskernel.C: In function 'wakeup-event':
ntoskernel.C:826:error: ' task_t' undeclared (first use in this function)
" : (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
" : for each function it appears in.)
" : parse error before')' token

make: *** [all] Error 2

So, if i can't get it installed i shouldn't bother doing anything else. Even so, i still tried to run modprobe and got the same error msg.

Please help!
