Not to worry - we've all been at this point in the learning curve before. Glad to hear you got this sorted out. I myself find that I benefit from helping others out, if only by being exposed to new issues and problems that cast a new light on my knowledge. Do feel free to ask if there is anything else you have problems with.

Hi,

I seem to have some of the same problems as mentioned above.

[root@localhost ~]# ifup eth1
Error for wireless request "Set Bit Rate" (8B20) :
SET failed on device eth1 ; Operation not supported.

Bestemmer IP-informasjon for eth1... feilet; ikke link. Sjekk kabelen?
[root@localhost ~]# ifconfig eth1

I'm also a linux noob. I've read alot about this and tried several wireless tutorials but nothing seems to work. I've also used the 0x in front of my wep key. Nothing seems to work.
Would appreciate if someone could help me on this one.
