SuSe patched out my wireless card
Hi,
Anybody got any suggestions on this one... Basically I let SuSE update run with the automatic setting the other day. It kindly went off, retrieved a whole pile of patches, rebuilt the kernel, etc. Unfortunately in the process it overwrote the WLAN-NG pre16 drivers I had installed with the current SuSE issue pre9 drivers  Have tried rebulding the pre16 drivers but there seems to be something floating around mismatching across the two kernels. When I try the MAKE ALL, I get the following error after it's built the p80211 modules: make[3]: Entering directory `/root/wlan/linux-wlan-ng-0.2.1-pre16/src/prism2/driver' make[3]: *** No rule to make target `/usr/src/linux-2.4.21-99/include/linux/modsetver.h', needed by `.depend.usb'. Stop. make[3]: Leaving directory `/root/wlan/linux-wlan-ng-0.2.1-pre16/src/prism2/driver' The current source files and kernel modules are all setup to point to linux-2.4.21-199. I've tried cleaning things up with MAKE CLONECONFIG followed by MAKE DEP and MAKE CLEAN but still no luck. Thanks in advance, Keith |
