SuSE: Dlink Access Point: How to let SuSE 9.1 box fetch the webpages for wlan request

The situation is actually pretty simple, and I'm slightly embarrased to ask... I've probably just overlooked the important parts in YaST:

I've got a normal PC with 2 ethernet cards. 1 is connected to my DSL modem and the other one is connected to a D-Link DWL-2000AP+ Wireless Access Point (which has one ethernet port and no router functionality). The PC has no other direct WLAN access. The DWL is set up as an access point and broadcasts an invitation to an unencrypted network.

I can connect with my PC to the internet fine, and I can access the router setup (which is provided via a HTTP interface by the router).

Likewise, I can access the router configuration from my Wlan-enabled Zodiac (PalmOS).

However if I request ANYTHING else, doesn't matter if it's a webpage, the mldonkey webinterface (local) or an Apache hosted file... I either get a not found or cannot connect error.

So, I somehow have to get the access point to forward the requests to my linux pc and I have to get the linux pc to forward the requests to the dsl modem.

Well, the usual question: Any ideas?

OK, so now I can access the Apache Docs hosted on my PC (don'T know why it didn't work in the first place, but now it does), but I still need help on how to forward the http requests to my DSL modem.

In the PalmOS the default gateway s/b set to the dsl modem's internal IP.

There s/b a way to set up the linux box as a router in Yast. If I can remember I'll check when I get home. If not you can use this script:
http://projectfiles.com/firewall/
You only need to change one line to make it a router:
INTERNAL_INTERFACES="eth1"
It also makes a good firewall script.

Problem is, that the PalmOS Wifi Configuration tool has only the following options:
SSID:
Encryption: Off/WEP
IP: Dynamic/Static
Network: AccessPoint/Ad-Hoc

There are no options for a gateway or something like that.

About the firewall: I really want anything interfering with my regular connection, I just want the requests forwarded to my DSL modem. I mean MSIE can access my internet from within a Qemu session, so it can't be too complicated.

About the DSL modem: does anybody know how can get it's internal IP?
