starting wireless at boot up

I downloaded madwifi for 2 of my distros and it works fine. However, when I boot up a distro, I have to type either dhclient ath0 or dhcpcd ath0 to get it running (depends on the distro). Is there a way to make it do this automatically?

You can edit some script during init process.

Slack-> edit init script for network (I do not remember what exact script is)

Debian and offsprings -> edit ifup/down (pump?) config file (/etc/network/....)

I changed the thread title to better reflect your problem. This thread has also been moved to Linux Wireless Networking so that it get more exposure.
